A new teaser trailer for The Sound of Magic, a fantasy musical series based on the popular Naver webtoon Annarasumanara, has given fans their first look at the stills of the film’s cast. The new release revealed shots that captured the emotions and adventures of a mysterious magician and some high schoolers with a mix of magic, music, and a dash of whimsy.
Helmed by Itaewon Class and Love in the Moonlight director Kim Sung-youn, Netflix’s The Sound of Magic will tell the story of Yoon Ah-yi, a girl who had to grow too fast that she lost her dream until she finds a mysterious magician – Rieul, who wants to stop time and remain a kid.

The stills gave the fans their first proper look at the charming and cheerful Ji Chang-Wook playing the role of adult Rieul.
It also showed how the camera captured his first encounter with Choi Sung-Eun as Ah-yi at an abandoned theme park.
The stills also showed Hwang In-youp as Na Il-deung, a gifted high schooler and Ah-yi’s classmate. He was a character who was raised to believe that a good education is the best way to approach life.
The photos came a week after Netflix released a teaser trailer video. Though brief at only one minute long, the teaser trailer of The Sound of Magic gave its fans their first proper look at the cast and their adventures.
Notably, the fantasy musical series is based on Ha Il-Kwon’s popular webtoon Annarasumanara – “a touching music drama about Yoon Ah-yi, a girl who had to grow up too fast. It also showed Rieul, a mysterious magician who, although grown-up, wants to remain as a kid.”
