Located south of Metro Manila is Alabang. The central business district in the city of Muntinlupa that has also the city’s residential properties, business industrial, and commercial establishments.

Ayala Alabang covers 700 hectares of land which includes the Madrigal business park, Ayala Alabang Village, and The Alabang Town center. Its development started in the late 1970s when the Ayala Corporation built residential facilities around the area which was followed by other commercial establishments during the 1980s.

On the other hand barangay, Alabang also has undergone a tremendous growth around the year 1990s when the Filinvest Development Corporation acquired some parts of the Alabang Stock Farm then developed it into what is now known as the Filinvest City. This covers the areas of North Gate, Cyberzone, Festival Super Mall, and Westgate Center.

From being a former farming district, Alabang has now been transformed into a trendy and lively shopping and business district. It is also considered a residential haven as it has plenty of upscale housing developments including the well-known Ayala Alabang Village which is one of the largest and most expensive residential subdivisions in the country.

As a central business district and commercial zone, the place is usually busy especially around some areas of barangay Alabang which can get too crowded at times as this is where the bus and van terminals going to other cities and provinces are found.

Also because people from other barangays and municipalities usually visit Alabang for its public market which is the biggest in the area.
